I will also be sending home conference confirmation slips this week.

Reading: We will continue applying the reading skills that we have learned this year to our novels. This week we are focusing on making connections and summarizing. We will also review how to write an extended response.
English: In English we will continue chapter two, "Nouns." This week the students will review singular and plural nouns. There will be a graded review on Wednesday. It will cover lessons 1-4.
Spelling: Unit 10 - Homework is due on Wednesday. Test is Thursday.
Science: we will continue chapter 6, "Ecosystems and Change." The students will learn the three kinds of symbiosis and their characteristics. We will determine how symbiosis is different than competition. An open book quiz on lesson one will be given later in the week.
Social Studies: In social studies we will continue chapter 6 "Life in the English Colonies." Just a reminder our Trade Fair is Thursday. The students should also have a sign to advertise their product. I am looking forward to seeing all the creative ideas. We will also learn this week of some of Benjamin Franklin's important contributions to the colonies.
Mrs. Bucklin's Math Class: In math we will complete chapter six, "Add and Subtract Decimals." There will be a quest (quiz/test) on Thursday. It will cover lessons 1-3 in chapter 6.
Thank you and have a great week!
