Important Dates:
November 23, 24, 25 -- Thanksgiving Holiday -- No School
December 2 -- Parent/Teacher Conferences -- No School
Reading: We will complete our novels of Crash and Kid in the Red Jacket. The students will be completing a Story Pyramid of their book. The following week we will learn how to determine the author's purpose.
English: In English we will work on writing skills. The students will be creating a newspaper article about themselves. We will focus on writing sentences that flow smoothly and vary in length and style.
Spelling: Week of November 28th Unit 12 test will be on Thursday.
Science: We will complete chapter 6, "Ecosystems and Change." The chapter 6 test is Tuesday, November 22nd. We will also create a story board based on the book The Great Fuzz Frenzy.
Social Studies: In social studies we will continue chapter 6 "Life in the English Colonies." Lesson 4 focuses on how slavery expanded rapidly in the English Colonies during the 1800s. The chapter test is scheduled for Thursday, December 1st.
Mrs. Bucklin's Math Class: In math we will continue with problem solving and T-charts.
