Reading: This week we will complete our focus on story structure. The students have been reading different stories to practice story mapping. We will also complete our study of analogies.
Spelling: Unit 7- "Compound Words" Homework is due on Thursday. Test is Friday.
Science: Look for chapter 5 tests to come home on Monday. Later in the week we will be learning all about the barn owl. Taking a close look at this interesting creature will preview some of the key concepts in Chapter 6: predator-prey relationships, structural and behavioral adaptations, and habitat.
Social Studies: In social studies we will continue chapter 5 "The Struggle to Found Colonies." This week we will learn how the Separatist, later known as the Pilgrims, left England to start a settlement where they could worship as they please.
Mrs. Bucklin's Math Class: In math we will complete chapter three, Division. We will focus on problem solving using relevant and irrelevant information. The test will be given on Wednesday. A practice test will be sent home on Monday.
