MAPS testing is this week. Our class will be taking the reading test on Monday and math test on Thursday.
English: We will continue our unit on Verbs. This week we will focus on contractions, irregular and regular verbs. I will also introduce persuasive writing. The students will be given prompts that they will need to take a side on.
Science: We will continue chapter 11 Weather. A lesson two open book assessment will be given on Wednesday. Lesson three focuses on weather patterns. We will read and learn how weather conditions are measured and how these measurements can be used to predict the weather. The chapter 11 test is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 4th.
Social Studies: In social studies we will complete chapter 10, Forming a New Government. The chapter 10 test is Wednesday, April 27th. We will review for the test on Tuesday.

Mrs. Bucklin's Reading Class: This week we will continue a historical fiction novel, Jacob's Rescue. We will focus on the reading skill of cause and effect and also determining the author's viewpoint. There will be a vocabulary quiz for chapters 9-16 on Tuesday, April 26th. The students have a study guide to help prepare for the quiz.
Spelling: Unit 26. The test will be on Friday.
Mrs. Bucklin's Math Class: We will continue chapter 22, Measurement. This week we are continuing to learn how to convert linear measurements. There will be a quiz on lessons 1-3 on Friday.
